Nanotect® Technology – a composite lubricant coating for carbon nanotubes

The Nanotect® lineup of products is a series of new materials employing Takenaka’s coating technology and surface grafting methods. Created through a collaboration of industry, government, and academia with carbon nanotube (CNT) material for joint purpose with GSI Creos and funding assistance from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, Nanotect® is based on seed technology from Kyoto University.

TAKECOAT® 1000 – a fluorocarbon polymer film

TAKECOAT® 1000 is a product in which a special fluorocarbon polymer is uniformly formed on the surface of metal with a special surface treatment technique. The rust and corrosion prevantion properties are amazing, preventing corrosion even after being subjected to a salt spray test for 6000 hours, the equivalent of 50 years in a corrosive environment. The advanced TAKECOAT system decreases the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) in addition to demonstrating durability and lubricating properties, and is rapidly expanding the field of surface treatment around the globe. TAKECOAT® 1000 has been used in many overseas applications as well as in Japan.
